An Autumn Crochet Hat

I was quite disappointed when I could only get one skein of this beautiful yarn (the Etsy seller is no longer there). I was trying to figure out what I could do with it and watched a few tutorials and decided on this hat tutorial by Fiber Spider. It’s a really pretty spiral pattern and very easy and fast to make. I feel like the pattern isn’t showing up great with this yarn but I can see making this hat with a more subdued blend or an ombre yarn. I made it much longer than the original because I wanted enough to turn over as a cuff at the bottom. I’ve made several crochet hats before (mostly granny stripe) and they are quite holey but good for Southern California. This one isn’t a tight weave but I imagine this one would actually be warm if you were out and about on a crisp Halloween evening. All-in-all I really liked how fast and easy this was to make and will definitely make some more with this pattern.
